Dear Readers,
I am aware of the charges that have been brought against Jay Lucas. Mr. Lucas has not been involved in the publication of The Granite Eagle for some time.
Recently, Weagleton Publishing Group, LLC was formed to assume publication of The Granite Eagle. Mr. Lucas has no involvement in Weagleton Publishing Group, LLC in any capacity.
Prior to these developments, plans were already underway to rebrand the publication. We will now be moving forward with that rebrand on an accelerated timeline, with completion expected by the end of the year.
We are excited about the future of the publication and remain committed to providing our readers with quality local journalism. We thank our dedicated readership for their continued support.

It is not surprising that Jay Lucas started this online paper basically - of all corrupt, stupid causes - to promote the cause of a bunch of child abusers at YDC, and did it with criminally-derived funds, having stolen the money used to fund the abusers. Birds of a feather I guess.
Will the Granite Eagle apologize to the victims whose money was stolen by Lucas and laundered for use in making excuses for YDC criminals?
Don’t think so. Jay Lucas was using stolen investor money. Expect the SEC and DOJ to attach every available asset. Not that the Granite Eagle has any value, but it is in the middle of the Lucas scam.
Better get a real job, Chris.
